Every year in late summer, the Wachau transforms into Austria's most beautiful marathon route. The internationally renowned Wachau Marathon attracts runners and enthusiastic spectators from all over the world to the Danube. The start is in Emmersdorf, just a short walk from our Schloss Luberegg 1787 – Eventresort Wachau. From here, the marathon route first takes a small loop upstream to Luberegg Castle, before continuing on the stunning route along the Danube to the center of Krems.
